9:1, Asymmetrical to asymmetrical (unbalanced to unbalanced, 1.5 kw ssb) with antenna output studs.

cat#  BLW91

UP FRONT; With a long wire antenna, and related radio to long wire antenna matching, there is no such thing as "ground wire is optional."  The purpose of the ground terminal on the long wire BALUN (unun) is to be taken to the nearest ground, whether it be an earth driven ground rod, or a metal water pipe.

When you read or see an advertisement for a UNUN matching device that feeds a long wire antenna which has no ground post or terminal, it is nothing more than a "lump" or a conductor (attenuator) placed in the feed line.  This lump or discontinuity in the long wire feed line removes the possibility of the antenna having any sort of earth counterpoise or reflection.  The earth reflection is one of the factors that help determine the take-off angle, or to-wit, the angle of radiation for the transmitted or received signal.

In addition, the UNUN ground terminal enables a path for noise and ingress interference to be reduced by being "bled" to earth.

The BUXCOMM 9:1 Long-wire antenna UNUN, has both the antenna terminal and the ground post terminal identified with arrows pointing to the appropriate or correct connecting terminal.

The BUXCOMM 9:1 Long-wire antenna UNUNpower rated @ 1500 watts SSB:
and it is an asymmetrical to asymmetrical  (unbalanced to unbalanced) mate for your; Long-wire antennas, Ground Plane`s, Verticals, Beverage, and "Vee" antennas.

The BUXCOMM long-wire antenna and ground terminals are identified in two ways; Each post is labeled with an arrow pointing to the proper terminal, and with a plus (+ antenna) and minus (- ground)  terminals.

The BUXCOMM BLW91 Magnetic Long-wire BALUN lets you use coaxial
cable for the feed line. The shield of the cable prevents noise for noise-free reception.

* Use with HAM Radio Long Wire antennas, or SWL longwire antennas.
* By-Pass static charges to ground instead of through the radio.
* Matches antenna to coaxial cable for improved signal strength.
The B15LW91 BALUN also protects the radio against static or
atmospheric power discharge by routing static electricity
direct to ground instead of through the radio.

The construction of long-wire antennas is simple, both electrically and mechanically,
with no critical dimensions or adjustments.  The long-wire antenna will work well and
give satisfactory gain and directivity over a frequency range up to twice the value for
which it was cut.  In addition, it will accept power and radiate it efficiently on any
frequency for which its overall length is not less than 1/2 wavelength.

Multi-Core UNUN, Power Rated at 1500 watts PEP @ 25% duty cycle,
and 1000 watts SSB @ 50% duty cycle. Current type BALUN.

*Style and color may vary.    Performance per above specs.

Our MasterMatch BALUN Guarantee:  If a BUXCOMM  MasterMatch BALUN  fails under spec'd operation,
within one year from date of purchase, simply return it with the original invoice,  for full, one time replacement.
